Soul Eater - Behind the Shadow's Veil

Despite the measures taken by the DWMA, not long after the First Keishin was destroyed another was on the rise in the shadow, the turmoil at the academy during the assault upon Arachne’s fortress allowed enough lapse in vigilance that a dark soul affected by the madness became the Second Keishin. Madness was still spread across the world, only diminishing during the years after the first had been eliminated by the prodigal scythe technician Maka Albarn; though as the Second slowly gained more power the Madness decreased more slowly and became known as the Shadow Veil crisis as the DWMA scrambled to find the threat.
During this time, Death the Kid had raised his partners Liz and Patty to proper Death Weapons and took over overseeing the academy as the next Shinigami; Maka had become a teacher along with her partner Soul ‘Eater’ Evens, who had become a Death Scythe as well. Black Star, unable to pass any proper classes continued training with Tsubaki who had yet to even approach Death Weapon status. Now more than ever, as the new generations of Meisters start their training a dark, ominous feeling tinges the halls of the DWMA as the Madness once again starts to slowly rise in power and threaten the whole world yet again.
