Phoenix’s Rise The Forest Again “Harry Potter,” he said very softly. His voice might have been part of the spitting fire. “The Boy Who Lived.” None of the Death Eaters moved. They were waiting: Everything was waiting. Hagrid was struggling, and Bellatrix was panting… Voldemort had raised his wand. His head was still tilted to one side, like a curious child, wondering what would happen if he proceeded. Harry looked back into the red eyes, and wanted it to happen now, quickly, while he could still stand, before he lost control, before he betrayed fear- He saw the mouth move and a flash of green light, and everything was gone. Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, is dead. The Battle of Hogwarts commences, the tone somehow managing to grow ever darker with the knowledge of the boy’s death at the hands of Voldemort. The prophecy was fulfilled, but not in the way those who stood against the Dark Lord had hoped it would. The clouds shroud over the shambled school and those who cling to their wands in defiance against the tyranny of Voldemort. No one will drop from his or her post; no one will leave the side they’ve chosen. The battle continues, flashes of red and green splaying the school’s marvelous walls in an array of colors that spell out the Second Wizarding War. Each side takes hits but the Order of the Phoenix and the professors, students, of Hogwarts take the most blows. Hope is seeping through the cracks, much to Voldemort’s pleasure, and the only choice left for those who fight for their lives is to flee from sight. Many have died, but the ones who live to see another day are dedicated to the gruesome road ahead. Voldemort and his Death Eaters, only a week after the Battle of Hogwarts, are gaining momentum in the Wizarding world. No one will dare to defy the Dark Lord’s wishes, now that the Chosen One is gone, and his mighty claws are spreading and grabbing onto the whole of England, and aiming even further. Muggles, muggle-borns, and all who aren’t deemed fit are to be exterminated. But, those who fled from Hogwarts are gathering and gaining their own momentum. A revolt is building slowly; an underground formation of wizards, witches, and other mystical creatures is starting to develop in order to crush Voldemort’s aspirations. He won’t gain rule over the world so easily, the prophecy and the fates be damned. Name: Hermione Granger Age: 18 Gender: Female Species: Witch Allegiance: Order of the Phoenix Personality: A perfectionist with smarts and common sense that allowed her to outlast the last seven brutal years that have tested her. She's diligent, quick, determined, and straight to the point with every task given to her. Hermione can be stubborn at times when others are being completely unreasonable, but is otherwise open minded- one of the most open minded witches of her time when it comes to social and political issues. Due to her "muggle-born" status, Hermione pushes herself to the edge in order to prove to others just how worthy she is of being born a witch. Biography: Born to two muggles, both dentists without a clue that their daughter was "gifted", Hermione grew up with the ability to do things otherwise thought impossible. It occurred to her at an early age, along with her parents, that something was different about her and it didn't take long for the bookworm to research a bit of this, a bit of that, to find that she was a witch. A whole new world opened up to the bright female with both dark and wonderful aspects to it. Prejudice hit her in the face like a boulder, the slang term of "mudblood" a whisper on the tongues of those so high and mighty to discriminate on the basis of blood. It helped shape the girl into a woman as she quickly took stances on issues surrounding the Wizarding world while growing up. Hogwarts was her home away from home, a place where she demonstrated just exactly why she'd been chosen by the Fates to be a witch. Her friends were an extension of her human family and, overall, life was a wondrous existence. But, darkness always accompanies light. Whispers of the Dark Lord, Voldemort, rising sent chills up both her spine and her friends, one of whom was The Boy Who Lived. Through the years, she stuck to him like glue through all his trials as they battled forces that weren't meant to face growing teenagers. Everyone's lives were in danger. She, for being a muggle-born. Harry for being the one to cripple Voldemort when he was just a babe, Ron for aligning with Harry and his parents known sympathy for muggles, and everyone else because, well, Voldemort held no good intentions. Darkness has clutched the Wizarding World and stripped Hermione of dear friends, of her school, and of her freedom but she's not going down without a fight. For all those lost, she will help resurrect the Order of the Phoenix and take down the foul creature that threatens all she loves. Appearance: Leading A Revolt Isn't Pretty... ...But This Is! x3 -------- Name: Florence Witte Age: 21 Gender: Female Species: Witch Allegiance: Death Eaters Personality: Florence can be the most charming woman one has ever set eyes on, or the most chastising witch on the planet. Her views are stagnant, never changing, and distinct. She's not one to change her ways, on any occasion, and pride of her pureblood status oozes out of every toxic pore in her body. If she's met by another pureblood, she smiles with a radiance that challenges that of the sun. If she's met by a mudblood or muggle-sympathizer, her blood runs cold and fangs are ejected from her mouth. She's poised, collected, and has quite a good range of manners- when in the correct company. Her eyes are sharp, and her words even sharper. Biography: The Witte's family has been composed of wizards and witches since the dawn of time. There isn't a speck of the word "muggle" anywhere on her family tree. Each member has stayed true to the pureblood stature of living, and Florence is no exception. She was raised in this elitist family and, due to this, indulged in everything the Wizarding World offered. She lived within the heart of activity, in a luxurious house that had been handed down the family for centuries and was overflowing with prided history. Florence had the best expected out of her and she only showed the most superior of performances. Though she despised Hogwarts due to the more than lenient acceptance of wizards and witches that were muggle-born, Florence grit her teeth and went through with it since it was a tradition in the family. It was all about continuing the legacy, and this she did. The sorting hat did not have to tell her she was a Slytherin. She already knew as much. Throughout her years, Florence had heard of Voldemort. When she was a toddler, he was at the height of his reign and all feared him, except for her family. The Witte's were already expected to join Voldemort as Death Eaters but neither of her parents bore the mark of allegiance, not because they feared it but because they hadn't been approached. Words of the Dark Lord spilled from every recess of Florence's life and, quickly, she began to adore the enigma. It wasn't until Florence had left Hogwarts behind and began her trip into becoming an Auror that Voldemort once again reappeared after being thought dead and she was approached in place of her parents. Who was she to deny him the pleasure of marking her skin? Her arm was simply a canvas waiting for the divine Dark Lord's touch. With The Foolish Boy That Lived out of the way and rotting somewhere, Florence can only expect the Dark Lord's rise to be glorious once again. Appearance: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Name: Draco Malfoy Age: 18 Gender: Male Species: Wizard Allegiance: Double Agent (Appears as a Death Eater, but true allegiance to the Order) Personality: Draco comes off as an arrogant, snide, elitist bully. In reality, he's simply scared, just like everyone else. Naturally intelligent, he is able to conclude things off of very little information. He is possessed of a sarcastic, often cruel, wit, which makes people dislike him greatly. Growing up a "pure blood", Draco was naturally taught to despise muggle-borns. He now only continues this practice as a shield but holds no true resentments to those like Hermoine Granger. He is a compassionate man under his tough persona. Biography: Born and bred a pure-blood, Draco Malfoy always considered himself to be the cream of the crop. That is, until he was sent to Hogwarts. Revolted by everything that went against what his parents had taught him, he rebelled. Contracting a small posse, he dedicated his school time to make Harry Potter's life hell. All that changed when he was taken in to do the dark lord's bidding. No longer being able to return to Hogwarts, Draco did what he could to keep him and his family safe. He was almost certain that Harry would defeat the Dark Lord. Now, Harry is gone. Draco now only wants to rid the world of the darkness forever, and will sacrifice anything to do so. Name: Alex Marshall Age: 18 Gender: Male Species: Wizard Allegiance: Double agent for the Order Personality:He is somewhat reserved. He is also extremely self confident, and knows what he knows. He’s stubborn, and wont take no for an answer. Even so, he realizes that he doesn’t know everything, and will take advice when necessary. He is very smart, and doesn't usually need help. While at school, he tried not to get in trouble, which was often times difficult for him because of the way he grew up. He's never had many friends, but is extremely loyal to those friends he does have. Biography: Alex is a pureblood, though he never quite understood the significance of it. His parents, on the other hand, did. While he was at Hogwarts, studying in the house of Ravenclaw, his parents were largely supporting the rise of Voldemort. When Voldemort returned to power after Alex's fourth year, he found out that his parents had officially joined the ranks of Death Eaters, fully expecting him to do so once his schooling was complete. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on who is talking, he made the right friends. Having become very close to Luna Lovegood during their last two years at school, he realized just what the Death Eaters were doing, and was horrified. He couldn't do anything about it, however, because his parents were one of them. That was the reason he began to sneak information through to the students hiding out in the Room of Requirement. It was a small act, but the only thing he could do. He didn't know much; even though his parents were Death Eaters, he wasn't privy to all of the same information they were, but it was all he could do. When Voldemort announced that Harry was dead, Alex was terrified. What would he do now? It seemed as though the bad guys had won for good. Given no other choice, at Voldemort's call for the students to join him, he hesitantly stepped forward to greet his new Master, and the grinning face of his father, his mother having died in the war. Alex could tell that his friends were confused as to why he would join the Death Eaters after helping them out so much, but shortly afterwards, they heard from the boy. He wasn't giving up. He hadn't betrayed them. He had done the most brave, and stupid, thing of his life. The face in the mirror

Name: Vicente Volerre Age: 23 in appearance, but is actually in his fifties. Gender: Male Species: Vampire (former muggle-born wizard) Allegiance: Order of the Phoenix Personality: Vicente tries to compose himself as a gentleman most of the time, but that facade often breaks down to reveal a more hot-headed, impulsive, and violent Vicente. If there's one thing he likes, it's being able to live his life on his own terms. He has a strong dislike for anyone who would seek to control him, and he is slow to place his trust in others. He also is one to hold grudges. One grudge in particular has caused him to align himself with the Order rather than with the Death Eaters, and he is determined to end that grudge--preferably by killing the person he has that grudge against--as soon as possible. Biography: Vicente was born to a muggle family living in London. His family had a bit of a wanderlust, though, and even before Vicente was sent his letter from Hogwarts, he had spent time in many different countries. The letter came as a huge shock to his family, but they happily let him go to Hogwarts to learn how to be a wizard. They saw it as a new world for him to explore, and they loved the many letters he sent them while he was learning at the school. Once he had finished his seven years there, he resumed his travels with his family, though one ill-fated venture resulted in disaster. His family was killed by vampires, and he ended up becoming one himself. The change was difficult for him to accept at first, but he adjusted to this new lifestyle. He was too afraid to return to England, so he stayed with the vampires that had ended his previous life and remained in their community for some years. During his time there, he met a vampiress named Madeline, who quickly became the love of his life and his mate. She was significantly older than he was--though she appeared young, like him--but that didn't matter. What did matter was that she had never been outside of that single vampire community, and that was a travesty in Vicente's eyes. He finally convinced himself to go back to England, and he took her with him. That turned out to be a huge mistake. They spent a few happy years in England before Voldemort rose to power the first time, but both Vicente and Madeline kept out of the Dark Lord's way. They did not join him, but they did not fight against him. Many other vampires chose to remain neutral, but with other dangerous magical creatures supporting the Death Eaters, neutrality became hazardous. Those creatures started trying to convince others to join their cause, and a werewolf by the name of Fenrir Grayback took it upon himself to try to sway the opinions of Vicente and his mate. The werewolf was not successful. In an attempt to force Vicente's hand, he murdered Madeline and threatened to kill Vicente as well. But the vampire fled, and soon afterward, he heard that Voldemort had been defeated by a baby, of all things. A baby named Harry Potter. Voldemort's supporters were arrested, claimed bewitchment, or went into hiding, and no matter where Vicente looked, he could not find Grayback. He wanted revenge for what the werewolf had done to Madeline, and he wasn't going to rest until he had that revenge. Voldemort's return came as no surprise to Vicente. He'd expected the Dark Lord to come back again, and he was thrilled when it happened. Because it might mean that Grayback would resurface as well. Vicente might be able to finally get his revenge, but that wasn't good enough. He wanted to destroy the one truly responsible for Madeline's death: Voldemort. He wanted to defeat them all. And now, his chance has arrived. Appearance: Vicente |

Yay~. I shot Comix a PM to see what's happening on that front. Meanwhile, I'm getting to work on my true Death Eater. I'm capping my double agents now, since I don't want all Death Eaters to be secretly double agents. Two double agents and that's it. ;D |

Name: Tyler Mina Beaumont Age: 19 Gender: Female Species: Half-Veela/Witch Allegiance: Order of the Phoenix Personality: Unlike most of those of her blood, Tyler has no obsession with her looks. She was raised to treasure personality and brains over looks. Her most prominent quality is her courage. She sticks her tongue in the face of danger so often she is almost considered ignorant for doing so. Of course, like everyone else, she does have fears, though she tries to conceal them as best she can. Tyler also has the habit to voice her thoughts and opinions no matter what they may be. If she doesn’t like someone, she will say so. The half-Veela is also infamous for her short temper and ability to easily get into fights. Biography: Tyler’s father met her mother when the Veela was in America on vacation from France. The two had a fling when the Veela became pregnant. She only stayed with Tyler’s father long enough to have the child, before she vanished without a trace, leaving the child behind. Tyler’s father raised her to the best of his ability, keeping the wizarding world away from the child. When Tyler turned eleven, the small family moved across seas to London. It was there she received her letter from Hogwarts and her father finally broke the news to her that he was a Wizard and that she was a Witch because of it. He, however, kept the fact she was half-Veela from her. In her fifth year, she discovered her heritage when she met Fleur and it was explained to her. During her seven years in Gryffindor, she became the center for countless fights, nearly becoming expelled countless times, though somehow she always eluded it. She graduated a year before the battle at Hogwarts occurred, but returned to participate in it. She fought ruthlessly in the front lines, not always using her wand. While engaged in an intense duel with both of the Carrows, Tyler lost her left arm. When the battle ended, she joined the Order without hesitation, ready for another fight and payback. IC is UP! Enjoy. I will have something up for Florence, my lovely n' evil Death Eater, tomorrow if I can even though I'm going to be pretty busy. I'll try and squeeze it in. Here are two sources I found helpful, just in case HP knowledge gets rustic: This is where I got distinct information on Shell Cottage. This is for everything else, from maps of the Wizarding World to spells (that should be really handy for battle sequences). It has a really good Atlas/Encyclopedia. |

Yay! Okay, people. I need y'all to start posting. It's been five days since I put up the IC and I've only gotten one reply. YesMyLord was on last night. Saw you. Post. Comix was also on two days ago. Saw you, but I know you're out of state. Still. Post. Dream hasn't been on since I put up the IC, so that's it's own issue. If I don't get posts soon, I will take you off the list of characters and find new people. Inactivity = death. A week of inactivity is just not acceptable. |
