Rain harshly slapped the high windows of the large, run-down, drafty warehouse, which threw the sound across the building. Icy, winter wind and water filter in through various holes in the thin walls. A flickering light, the only one to still work in this abandoned place, illuminated the two teens held captive. Boxes, picked clean by the unknown homeless, were stacked around the pair, though a small path leading to one of two exits, though the other was blocked. Five Hydra members guard the teens, though none stand directly by them. Two stand near the unblocked entrance and the other three circulate the perimeter outside, griping in the cold rain. The pair are strapped down side-by-side to chairs, their hands tied tightly by thin ropes. They had previously been gagged, but while being interrogated, their gags had been removed one at a time. However, they were never replaced when the interrogators took their leave.

Danielle's ebony curls bounced as her head fell forward in exhaustion, her white ushanka falling onto the dirty warehouse floor. She closed her two-tone eyes with a light yawn as her hair tumbled around her pale face.
She groaned some as she lifted her heavy head again. She had been up for two consecutive days, making her way to this town, and now, it had caught up to slap her in the face. She craved nothing more than sleep at the moment, though she knew she couldn't have it. She had to get out of here and her abilities would not help her. Unfortunately, they hadn't even tried to touch her. To make matters worse, she was strapped to a chair directly beside a very feminine male and she had to keep her muscles strained in order not to touch him accidentally. There didn't seem any possible way with her black scarf, white trench coat over a black dress, black tights, white boots, and white gloves, but she didn't want to risk anything. Her ability wouldn't be too pleasant for either one of them and she couldn't handle another death on her hands.
She opened her eyes to glance to the male at her side, but opted to keep quiet and think of an escape route on her own.
Yeah, right, like that would happen. Not to her. She wasn't that lucky.

The rain poured outside of the warehouse, the rhythmic sound of rain hitting the building had somewhat of a calming effect. One young teen lifted his head, looking around at the mess of a room they were being kept in. Not for the first time, a thought passed through his mind. 'When I get out of here, I'm going to kill them' It was a promise more than anything. He didn't like being tied up; The ropes around his wrists made any sort of drawing extremely difficult. Not to mention the fact that he was in pain. While the interrogators seemed to go to great lengths to avoid touching the girl beside him, they weren't always so careful with him. He had no idea why, but he decided not to question it too much.

He heard a sound from the girl beside him, and turned to face her. She was in the same position he was, and though he had no idea who she really was, the very fact that they were both tied there told him that they were on the same side in this. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that. He caught her eye for a moment, but she quickly turned away. After staying silent a moment longer, he decided to speak. "You know what's going on here?" he asked, his voice barely audible through the rain.

Drifting quietly along the ceiling of the warehouse, a luminescent blue-white sphere, roughly the size of a volleyball, cast interesting shadows as it moved though the metal struts supporting the roof. Not bothering to squeeze between them or move around them, the orb passed lazily through the ones in its way, ghosting through with an unreal efficiency. The Signal was monitoring local radio frequencies, barely concerned with the captives below. One of them seemed to be communicating, but The Signal doubted anything expressed by pushing air through a hole in a creature's face would be as interesting as the subtle effects solar radiation had on the vast cloud of information hurtling through the atmosphere. As thunder rolled in the distance, he idly tracked the path of the lightning, seeing it as a sudden hole ripped through the haze of frequencies he perceived, as colors no mere organic creature could see painted mind-bogglingly complex patterns across the world.

Turning his attention to the personal radios carried by his allies, as disgustingly biological as they were, he passed along what he had heard. The radios crackled to life in unison as he sent out tendrils of radio waves, his eerily electronic voice whispering, "Local law enforcement has yet to notice our activity. There is no evidence that our presence has been detected. Local cellular phone usage has decreased 12% compared to normal levels. This may be in response to interference by current weather conditions."

As an afterthought, he added, "There is some fascinating sunspot activity affecting local signals. Expected efficiency of The Signal is currently 84% of optimal levels, due to atmospheric interference. Suggest heightened physical security to compensate." He paused, remembering the limitations of the radios he was using to communicate. "Over."

James walked down the paved road that lead to the town of Riverhills, his stride and the way he carried himself seemed almost disconnected from the world, his amber eyes stared ahead dispassionately. He was here for one reason and one reason only, to know his origins and to understand why he had his strange ability to cause death-inducing fear. He looked up at the stormy clouds and frowned not in displeasure or in annoyance, such petty emotions were beneath him now, and could set off his deadly ability. No he was frowning simply because it would be an obstacle in his way. His ran a hand through his brown hair, and soon enough rain drops began to fall softly onto his lightly tanned skinned body. Slowly he made his way into the city limited, already drenched.

A half hour later he was in the city, since the weather was so bad barely anyone was out, and the fact that it was so late. Soon he decided to stop walking and ended up in a pretty dry alleyway. He would go looking for any others when the storm passed.

When Robert had received his letter, there was one thing he didn't want to do. That was return to the U.S. He had the authorities looking for him, an entire county in Kansas wanted him (though no one believed their reports of a giant rage monster), and finally there were a lot more cities. Big cities, full of angry people. It wasn't a good mix with him and his...condition.

It hadn't taken nearly as long as he thought to get to New York. He was able to cross the Canadian-American border without being noticed, he was still technically a resident of the U.S. He had never let customs know he was leaving, so he didn't see the point in notifying them of his return.

He hitch-hiked his way from North Dakota through Minnesota to Wisconsin to Illinois then to Indiana Ohio Pennsylvania and then Finally New York. He had arrived at the city of Riverhills with a greasy large ruck driver named Jeb. He hank him, and then asked him if he would mind puling over so he could walk the rest of the way into town. As the man pulled over he looked to Robert. "Whoever your running from, good luck staying away boy" he said as Robert got out into the rain. He turned around and looked to the truck driver. "Thank you" he said as he closed the door as and took a step back and waited for the truck to pull away.

After the truck had left he started walking, maybe a mile to go to Riverhills. He pulled his jacket collar up and his hat down looked down and kept walking through the torrential downpour. He reached the outskirts of town and pulled into a diner on the street. He tried brushing off outside but it didn't work, he would have needed a dryer. When he walked in the man behind the counter told him to seat himself. It was just now that Robert realized he had no American money. How could I be so stupid! he thought as he looked guiltily to the man "uh, I have no American money sir, it's uh. Well it's all Canadian, I never exchanged it."

The man looked at him with a curious look. "You homeless?" he asked rather bluntly. "No sir" Robert answered. The last thing I need to start doing is answering question about myself... he thought trying to make his way towards the door. I'm sorry sir, I'll just go now he said as the door jingled. "Nonsense kid. Sit have a bowl of soup, it's n the house, 'n no ore of this 'sir', you can call me Mr. Edwards" he said gesturing to the bar seats close to him.

The fact that he'd have to talk about himself more made him want to leave, but he couldn't deny free hot soup. So Robert sat down and began to make conversation, trying to steer the conversation away from him.

Surprised to hear his voice, Danielle turned back to look at him. Upon closer inspection, he seemed to be familiar. Then again, she had seen many faces in the span of her year and they had begun to blur until they all almost looked the same.
The girl shifted uncomfortably, still trying to avoid any sort of contact. She cleared her throat, glancing down at her fallen ushanka.
"I haven't the slightest," She told him, her voice dripping in her stolen southern accent. She paused, searching his face. "Are ya alright? Did they hurt ya?"
She frowned, pivoting as much as she could in her chair so that she could face him without touching him in the slightest.
"We have t' figure out a way to get outta here. There ain't any one that's goin' t' come to our rescue," She added with a light nod.

-----------------------
Lucy dangled the communication device between her index finger and thumb, an expression of disgust displayed openly on her painted face. Well, formerly painted face. The rain had drowned it until only colorful streaks remained.
She crouched on the roof of the warehouse, glazing out into the distance with her normal, twisted smile on her lips. Her wet, tangled hair twitched and slithered as though it were a nest of anxious snakes.
"Teddy says we aren't alone," She replied into the device, glancing at the ratty bear under the crook of her other arm. "Want us to check it out? We'd be most... happy to." She giggled as though this were an inside joke between her and the teddy bear. She crawled to the edge of the roof, peering down with a tilt of her head. She tugged at the edge of her soft pink dress and jumped from the roof. Before she could hit the ground, her hair extended and caught her fall with spider leg-like tendrils before setting her gingerly on the ground.
"We're ready and heading out now," She called into the device before she looked down to her bear and grinned. "Let's go have some fun." She broke out into a run, heading away from the warehouse and toward the town.

The complex patterns of energy washing over the world were like art to The Signal. Chaotic, yet following strict laws governing how they moved around and through the physical world, they made the world seem less alien somehow. Abruptly, a distorted patch caught its attention.

Strange... Something new.

The Signal shifted frequencies, disappearing from view as it ghosted through the ceiling, slightly annoyed with the interference the metal structure caused. As it expanded its senses to study the distortion, The Signal realized what it was.

The radios blared to life, and though its inhuman voice showed no trace of emotion, the urgency came through as easily as in a fire alarm. "Anomaly detected. Localized distortion of frequencies approaching the center of town, consistent with intense gravitational field. Source unknown. The Signal will investigate. Suggest maintain physical security until complete data is acquired."

The voice changed, becoming a kind of verbal sneer. "If one of you biological entities screws this up, I will take great pleasure in irradiating you."

With another shift of its current frequencies, The Signal went screaming through the air, leaving a wake of disrupted radio waves behind it, like a boat leaving a wake. Hovering a safe distance above the source of the distortion, The Signal methodically studied it, cycling with inhuman speed through useful frequencies and receiving absolutely nothing back. In desperation, it finally shifted to the visible light spectrum, and was surprised to see a thuggish woman walking through the rain.

This is illogical, and entirely unprecedented. Interesting.....

Shifting to a mass of infrared light in order to better study the woman while remaining undetected, it cautiously drifted around her, making mental notes while sending unseen, unfelt probes of radio waves, trying to find the exact edges of the anomaly, his allies forgotten for the moment.

Very strange. She... contains it? How?

Robert sat down. The man leaned against the wall by the kitchen door and pulled out a cigarette. "Don't mind do you?" he asked holding up a cigarette. "Oh, uh no. doesn't bother me" he said as his mind traveled to the hot soup that was on it's way. Mr. Edwards tapped the door and yelled to the guy in back. "Art bring out a bowl of the special!" He heard he guy in back yell back an 'Ok' then Mr. Edwards looked at him. "So your from Canada then?" He asked lighting his cigarette. "Yeah I am, I came to visit family, they're...uh not here though, this place was just on the way" he said as Mr. Edwards gave him a skeptical look. Robert knew it was a shitty lie, but it would do.

The little bell in the kitchen rang and a bowl of soup was placed on the counter. Edwards handed him the bowl and a spoon. Enjoy kiddo. He said turning around and returning to his duties. Robert was able to eat in peace and was grateful for it.

When he had finished the manager wasn't there but he didn't want to be rude. When he returned Robert got up, being intentionally loud enough to draw his attention. The manager turned around. "Thanks for the soup. It means a lot more than you would think" he said picking up his coat and hat of the chair and putting them on. Alright kid, have a nice night. Try 'n stay outta the rain. If you can. he added as it was still torrential downpour. He thanked him again and walked out into into the hard rain, with his collar up and head down. He walked for a while, past alley and a few parks. I have to find somewhere dry to sleep he thought to himself as he approached the Town Hall. He looked at it and thought about sleeping under one of the lower balconies for a second. No. Too noticeable He said turning into an alley.

Well, it appears to be empty at least he thought as he walked down the alley toward a dumpster. He walked around the alley, looking for a long piece of material that could be used to make a tent of sorts. He found a big piece of plywood toward he other end of the alley. He leaned it again the dumpster. From the right angle it would have looked like someone was making a ramp up the side of a dumpster, but it made a spot where the rain was no longer falling. He got on all fours and then climbed underneath it. At least it dry...and large he thought starting to yawn. He hadn't realized how tired he really was. Man you could fit 2 people in here. The thought occurred to him as he stretched out his legs, leaned against the corner that the dumpster and the wall made. He lowered his head, closed his eyes and started to nod off.

The young man shrugged. "They didn't do anything that I can't handle." he said without emotion. It wasn't that he was trying to be strong or anything, but that was just his mindset. If he didn't let it bother him, it wouldn't, at least, that was how his brain worked. "Nobody is coming for you either?" he responded almost wistfully. His last hope slowly fading away. Nobody would even know he was gone, and it seemed the same could be said for the girl.

When the girl glanced at him again, the young man became painfully aware of a small cut across his face. He had no idea where he got it, but the small drip of blood gave him an idea. After a pause, the young man spoke again. "I have an idea..." he paused to gather his thoughts in a way that would make sense to someone else. "But it's going to seem really insane." he warned her. "I can use my blood to draw us something huge to get us out of here. Blood is like paint. It won't be a pretty creature, but it'll get the job done." of course, the first thing he thinks of is the fact that it wouldn't look pretty. "It'd have to be drawn on the ground, and I'd have to do it quickly..." he was getting off track, but that wasn't really much of a surprise to anyone that knew him. He was good at getting off track.

"I'd need my hands freed though. At least one of them. That's where I need you. You can untie my hands. It shouldn't be hard if I could just turn to the side enough." he glanced behind him at her hands. "It'd be easier if you could get those gloves off." he suggested with what he hoped was a friendly smile. He had no idea why she was wearing the gloves, but they would definately get in the way when trying to get the small knots untied. He didn't know if what he was saying made sense or not, but he just had to hope she understood what he was trying to say enough to do as he asked. "It should work."

James opened his eyes when he felt his stomach rumble. How he hated his feeble human body. He stood up, completely ignoring the down pour and he sniffed the air. He could smell several places nearby, it wasn't superhuman smelling, but as part of his training he was taught to make his senses sharper by ignoring the other inputs the world threw at him. The closest one he could smell was what he guessed was a soup kitchen of some kind.

He left the relative dryness of his alley. James made sure to keep an eye out for any suspicious, he was in a strange town on even stranger conditions so he knew anything could happen, especially if he ran into any of the people from a year ago.......As he walked he was hit by a flash back of his running like a wild animal through an elderly couples house, they had tried to let him stay the night, but he had killed them with his fear, and he saw what they did, their children and grand children dead by their own hands, through methods so horrible it made him puke just to see them. After that he gathered himself, some clothes and left.....the rest was history.

He soon found the soup kitchen, it was open judging by the soggy people in somewhat tattered clothes. He entered, sat down, and allowed himself to relax physically but not mentally, no, he could not let his control down even a notch. If he did all hell would break loose within 14 foot area. After getting some food he left again, people looking at him. He had drank the soup masterfully, not leaving a single drop, and the way he moved must've made some people look twice at him.

Once outside he began to walk, thinking to himself. However he stopped when his eyes caught movement of a female that had runny face paint....even in this country it was unusual. He weighed his options and followed after the female, hoping that maybe she had some answers. If not he would just move on and find somewhere to sleep in relative safety.

Danielle nodded, following him so far. She didn't know what he was going to paint or how that was supposed to get them out of this mess, but if his hand was free, he could untie her and she could certainly get them out. However, she shivered at the thought of how many people she might have to touch. That would not be a pleasurable experience for her or for the person she touched. And then she heard him tell her she'd need to take off her gloves.
"No!" She screeched, her eyes wide in fear. She took a deep breath and bit her lip.
"No," she said again in a whisper. "The gloves have t' stay on. I'm sorry, but it's for your own good. I will have t' get ya free with 'em on." She turned to the side, her head down in shame. "I'm sorry..." She set to work pulling at the ropes that bound her new ally, but he was right to say that the gloves would only hinder her. It took her a long time, but she finally managed to loosen the ropes enough where he could get a single hand out.

Lucy stopped in her tracks, bringing the tattered teddy up to her ear. She paused, listening.
"Teddy says I'm not alone," She said in her childish, sing-song voice. She smiled as she turned around to face the male. She approached him slowly, her bright eyes searching his face. She hugged her stuffed animal against her chest with one arm and with the other, reached out to grab the male's arm.
"Do you know where my sissy is? I'm lost," She said in the most innocent voice she possessed.

Ooc: I know it's short and I'm sorry, but I'm in a hurry.

Robert had nearly fallen asleep when he heard someone walk by. He ignored it at first but then she stopped short right by the alley. He didn't like it, it gave him a feeling like she was there for him. He heard a quiet screeching, like someone pissed of a pterodactyl. He hazarded a look out. It was dark, but still the man he saw standing there looked like a roughly hewn one at that. He leaned back against the wall and tried ignoring him again, but now he was doing something, fiddling and he could't ignore it. He crawled out, making deliberate noise to announce his presence. He shambled over, trying to make himself seemed diminished and less important.

"You uh, you ok si..." Holy shit...its a girl....she is one ugly girl. Good god. He thought as he went on trying to make it sound intentional. As he spoke he couldn't help but think about of how truly masculine this girl was. If you gave a blind alien a chisel and hammer, gave them the most general description of what a girl should look like, well yeah, that about what you got with this girl. Uh...you need help? You ok? He asked trying to shift his weight casually.

He flinched at her loud screech. It was sounds like that that were sure to alert their kidnappers to their communications. The last thing he wanted was them to come back before he was finished with his drawing. It was already going to be crude, but he didn't want to be overly rushed as well. That was never a good thing. Rush him too much and he may forget something important. As he was busy fretting over what to draw, and how he was going to draw it, his brain managed to register that she had managed to get one of his hands free.

He flexed his hand for a short while before wiggling his other hand out of it's binding. Unfortunately for the other girl, he seemed to have already forgotten she was there. He got his blood on his finger, knelt down on the ground, and got to work. As he began drawing, an image came to his mind of exactly what he wanted to draw. Nothing big, as he first imagined. No, instead, he was going to go for more subtle. He drew three swords, in various sizes and shapes. As he finished a sword, the air above the drawing shimmered, and a red-hazed sword replaced them. Each sword laid on the ground for a few seconds before rising into the hair, hovering a few feet above the ground. He took one of them, a thin, but sturdy blade, in his hand, and smiled at the other swords.

He turned, testing the sword for a moment, when he spotted the girl. "Oh. Sorry bout that." he blushed slightly, looking at the swords of his creation. He could already imagine the reaction of the girl. She was probably already writing him off as insane. "Here. Let me help you." he knelt down beside her, and untied her hands. "There ya go." he smiled. "Now, if you want, you could take one of these swords and help me out. Or, you could sit there and watch them do their thing. It's up to you." he gave her a smile before turning towards the door, where the guards were sure to have been made aware of their escape by now.

When The Signal realized that it was interfering with the headphones, it withdrew. No sense in alerting the subject to his presence before it finished studying the gravitational anomaly, which no longer seemed possible. Speeding back to the warehouse, The Signal called out over the radios, alerting its allies. "Gravitational anomaly is a human female, currently speaking with a human male. Retreating to avoid detection."

As it entered the warehouse, The Signal returned to the visible light spectrum, taking the shape of the silent sphere of white light and ghosting through the wall just as the teens were escaping their bindings.

"WARNING. THE CAPTIVES ARE ESCAPING AND ARMED."

The room dimmed noticeably as The Signal pulled in the ambient light, reshaping it and creating several thin white beams across the doorway, barring the exit. The beams burned with an eye-wateringly intense light, and looked very hot.

James looked down at the toy-hugging little girl and said in his neutral voice, "No, but perhaps I can help you find your sister." The rain didn't even effect him as it poured over him. He looked down at her again after looking around. "Where was she last?" He touched her arm and smiled, not out of emotion, but more for comfort of her. He had learned long ago that Children needed what looked to be emotion for them. During his travel to the monks he had to help several dozen children, of many different nationalities and such.

"What is your name, little girl?" He ask Lucy, his amber eyes staring into hers. It would show the lack of emotion to this girl he had. Even the slightest feeling would be disastrous, it would traumatize her and drive whoever was around temporarily mad from fear.

Danny's eyes widened in surprise as the swords became real. She reached out to touch them, but brought her hand back. He was like her. Just like one of those few Hydra members. He had powers, just like her.
And in that instant, she knew why she recognized him. He had been one of those that had been present on the first day.
She opened her mouth to tell him this, but the lights dimmed and her companion was heading toward the door.
Danielle sighed, knowing what she would have to do. She removed her gloves and placed them in her pockets.
She followed after her new companion and watched as the guards swarmed toward them. There were three human guards advancing toward them. One approached the feminine male, obviously not thinking him a threat. Two tried to corner the female, but one crumbled after a swift touch to his face. Danny stumbled back as his memories fluttered into her head. The second guard took her confusion as an opportunity to grab her arms and twist them behind her back. She blinked, unable to remember what was going on. Her eyes traveled to her companion and she finally remembered. She twisted and rolled, trying to get out of his grip. Her fingers brushed his wrist and though it got him off of her, it wasn't enough to dispose of him completely.
Danielle turned toward him, but her disorientation caused her to stumble some, her hand on her head. She cleared her throat and lifted her head again, a frown on her lips. She didn't want to have to touch him again. The peak of the memories she had said were particularly heinous, but she had to do it. She wanted to get them out of here. She reached forward again, but he learned from his past mistake and moved to restrain the other teen.
"Get off a him," She said in a low, warning tone. She came forward, grabbed his arm and watched him crumble. She, too, folded, holding her head between her hands as the disturbing memories consumed her.
"You a'right?" She asked in a soft murmur, trying to right herself, but failing miserably.

--------------------------------------------

"Lucy," The woman dressed as a little girl replied softly. She clutched her teddy close to her face and cracked a wide, peculiar smile.
"I last saw her-" Lucy broke off and her face fell. "Teddy says you're one of them. One of us. Teddy says I should apprehend you." She laughed as her hair sprang forward and wrapped around his arms and torso.
"If you'd be so kind as to accompany me, I will take you to the others," She told him in a coo, a fit of giggles following her words.
"WARNING. THE CAPTIVES ARE ESCAPING AND ARMED," The words screeched through her walkie talkie, causing her to jump in surprise. She growled, her hands curling into fists.
"Incompetent fools! There are going to escape!" She hissed in anger. She redirected her fury toward the teen as she lashed out at him with her animated hair.

The teen shrugged, looking around. He had attempted to dispose of the one guy going after him, but his less than spectacular skill at sword fighting left him fairly disadvantaged. His swords that were on their own did manage to get a few swipes at one of the other guards, who was dispelled of in that manner. He caught sight of the girl, and watched what she was doing to the others, and everything suddenly began to make sense. When she curled up on the ground, his eyes went wide.
"I'm fine." he commented before looking her over. "But from the looks of it, you arent." he knelt next to her, reaching out a hand before stopping. He wasn't sure what it was, but those guards collapsed the minute they touched her. He wasn't too eager to have that happen to himself as well, so he pulled his hand back to his side. "Need some help?" he offered, not quite knowing how he could help. "Wha's your name, by the way?" he asked. They were going to need to work together to escape, and he sure wasn't going to be calling her "girl" the whole time.

He looked her over, trying to figure out exactly where it is he'd seen her before. The longer he was around her, the more familiar she seemed. "...don't I...know you from somewhere?" he asked. Maybe she would remember where it was they had met before.

Robert watched as this girl examined him I probably look homeless he thought to himself. She gave him the thumbs up, pointed to her throat and shook her head. Suddenly Robert understood. You cant speak...do you know how to sign? he asked as he used his hands to form what rudimentary sign language he knew to communicate with her (Robert wasn't fluent in sign language, but if he were stranded in a country full of nothing but deaf people, he could survive enough to get home). As he finished signing, the total bewilderment on her face proved that she evidently did not know sign language. Well, now I look like a psyco he thought dropping his hand slowly in embarrassment. Robert was at a total loss of words and then out of nowhere he found himself blurting out at an almost unrecognizable speed Soit'srainginandIhaveanicelittleshelterandifyouwantyoucanstaytheresoyournotwalkingintherain... He said it, and his own jaw dropped a little out f surprise. He had no idea why he invited her into his...well, hovel. It was to late now though. So, what do you say? he asked trying to cover up his unintentional hospitality

Do I contradict myself?
Very well then-- I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.

But I don't have to know an answer. I don't feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in the mysterious universe without having any purpose. It doesn't frighten me.

James showed no emotion at her sudden leap. "I will warn you once, do not do that again." She had said he was one of them......that meant she probably knew something the letter. Taking a combat pose he waited for her attack, ready for anything. His mind worked to find a weakness, besides her obvious height disadvantage. She talked to her teddy meaning that if he 'kidnapped' it she would go into a berserker rage or bargain to get her teddy back. "So tell me Lucy, how many more of us are there?" His eyes looked over her, trying to get a clue of her ability, he had no doubt she had one, she was too strange not to have one.

He looked around the dark and rainy city, in case one of her allies, if she had any.....the thought was interrupted by the attack she had made....with her hair of all things. He jumped back from the hair tendrils and got back into his combat pose. Time to test out his combat training he had gotten during his time with the monks. "Interesting, you resort to violence over peacefulness.....how stupid. What would happen if I took your little bear there?" He asked in monotone voice.
THANKS TO TWISTED FER THE AWESOME AVVIE!!

He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing - the fury of a Time Lord - and then we discovered why. Why this Doctor, who had fought with gods and demons, why he had run away from us and hidden. He was being kind.

Robert hadn't taken more than 2 steps down the alley when he realized he couldn't take her to the dumpster. Hell she probably would have been better off by herself out wherever she was headed. He walked right past it and started scanning his brain to recall everywhere he passed that would be better shelter than that. He thought of a few abandoned houses, no too loud and stupid. Warehouses, possibility. Diner where I got the soup, possibility. They're not directly out of the way of each other, I'll check 'em both he thought to himself as he started walking towards the diner.

It was about a 5 minute walk to the diner. As he approached he he saw the lights were of so he gradually corrected his course and started walking towards the warehouses that seemed to be oddly vacant. As he made his way across town with this girl he started talking to her. Asking simple question that were in a yes or no format. Every question he would ask her he would then answer just to make sure she didn't feel like it was an interrogation. As he came up upon the first warehouse he stopped talking and looked at her then the ware house. Well, here we are.

"Danny... Er, Danielle. Danielle Thorne And your name?" The girl offered, grimacing as she pushed herself up to a stand. She removed her gloves from her pockets and slipped them on. With a light smile, she offered a gloved hand for him to shake.
"Pleased to meet ya 'gain," She said, her smile growing some. "We can reminisce later. We need t' get outta here before more guards come."
Her two-tone eyes searched his face and her smile grew. She almost couldn't help asking if he knew where the others were. There were others... Three more, two boys, one girl. Or was it two girls and a boy? She couldn't remember. It was a year ago and they had only been together for maybe an hour. Maybe less. Danielle looked the male over again. He had powers like she did. Did the others too? Did they have drawbacks like hers? Were they, too, gifted and cursed? Did they suffer as much as she did?
She grasped his hand and started to run for the door, dragging him behind her.
"Come on. We've gotta get outta here. Do ya live 'round here? Do ya have a place we can go? A place we can be safe?" She asked, glancing back at him with hopeful eyes.

"Stupid?" Lucy asked, cocking her head to one side as children do. "I have been called many things, but never stupid. Never stupid." She shook her head, her hair flickering and dancing toward him. She grinned.
"There are five of you. Four if you don't count yourself," Lucy answered his question with a nonchalant shrug. She took a few steps forward, her bright eyes watching him, planning her next move.
""Go ahead and try to take Teddy. He'd kill you in an instant. He is not human toy... He is more powerful and terrifying than even me and especially you," She said with a sneer. A thick tendril of hair reached out to wrap around his feet and suspend him upside down.
